Officer suffers minor injuries

HOUSTON -

A Houston police officer is recovering from minor injuries after being hit while escorting a funeral procession.

The officer was on a motorcycle on Patton and Beggs in north Houston when he was hit by an SUV Monday afternoon.

The officer was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital.
