A Harris County Precinct 6 deputy constable is recovering after a crash in north Houston Saturday morning.

The deputy was driving his patrol motorcycle home after his shift when he was hit by a car on Interstate 45 near Crosstimbers.

Houston police said the driver of the car was trying to make a U-turn on the interstate when she hit the deputy constable.

The deputy constable's injuries were not severe.

No word on what charges the driver of the car could face.
