LANCASTER, Texas -

The police chief of a suburban Dallas school district is facing five felony charges that include sexual assault.

CBS 11 in Dallas reports Keith Wilkerson was indicted this week on charges that also include insurance fraud and official oppression.

The 42-year-old Wilkerson was placed on administrative leave in November, soon after the school board learned he was the focus of an investigation. He has been with the Lancaster school district since 2002. Lancaster is about 15 miles south of Dallas.

A memo posted Thursday on the district's website said that in addition to Wilkerson, the allegations involve a second district employee, who also has been placed on leave.

Online court records did not name an attorney representing Wilkerson.
