A neighborhood lockdown that lasted much of Friday afternoon has been lifted.
Police said several people who robbed a Radio Shack, then led police on a chase to Baytown, are now in custody.
Investigators searched buildings, back yards and homes along Decker Drive looking for two robbers on the run. Authorities said they were part of a larger group of alleged thieves who hit up the Radio Shack, about 18 miles away in Pasadena, around 2 p.m.
Police said three masked men in hooded sweatshirts and carrying pistols stormed in and robbed the store. Seconds later, they were seen jumping into a dark blue minivan driven by the fourth suspect, police said. Police said the robber took off with cash, cellphones and iPads.
Officers quickly caught up and chased them on Beltway 8 to Interstate 10 and into Baytown.
Police said once they got to Baytown, the robbers abandoned their vehicle and ran away.
Two suspects were caught, but two others remained on the run for several hours, detectives said.
"We sent out phone messages to the entire area, warning residents to stay inside and keep their doors locked," said Assistant Chief Roger Clifford with the Pasadena Police Department.
Officials said when the remaining two suspects were eventually caught, they put up little resistance.
