A man who had confessed to killing a pregnant woman in 2011 has confessed to killing a man in 2010, detectives said.

Brandon Larue Jackson, 26, has been charged with murder.

Houston police said Casey D. Reed, 43, was found shot to death on the side of the street in the 2200 block of Riverside on July 7, 2010.

Investigators said they got a Crime Stoppers tip on Oct. 31, 2011, that helped them identify Jackson as a suspect.

Detectives met with Jackson, who was already in the Harris County Jail on a murder charge in connection with the death of a pregnant woman in July 2011, and he confessed to killing Reed, police said.
