Officers say they have arrested a mother and a man accused of endangering three small children.
According to investigators, residents at the Casa Bonita Apartments on 3410 NASA Parkway in Seabrook said they could smell heavy fumes coming from an apartment.
Authorities said firefighters discovered the apartment had no power and a gas generator operating inside of the apartment.
According to police, the unit was in an unsafe and unsanitary condition.
"The fumes in the air were at a dangerous level," said Seabrook PD.
David Menville, 28, and Lacey Gilliam, 28 were taken into custody and charged with endangering a child with imminent danger of bodily injury.
Investigators told Local 2 Gilliam's children were taken to the hospital and Children's Protective Services were notified.
