Police find cocaine, marijuana, pills throughout car
Police arrested a 24-year-old woman after they found marijuana, cocaine and pills throughout her car and in her underwear.
Geneva Amanda Espinoza, 24, of Webster was stopped by officers in the 3100 block of FM 528 on Jan. 23 after they said she was following to close to the car in front of her and littering out the window.
When she pulled over, the officer said he smelled a strong odor of marijuana and saw that she had a child not strapped in the backseat.
During a search of the car, the officer found several baggies of cocaine spread throughout the vehicle—some easily accessible to the child. They also found 22 Ecstasy pills and 48 Xanax pills.
Espinoza then admitted to having a bag of cocaine in her underpants and was later found with a second bag during a search at jail.
In all, police seized 13 baggies containing cocaine and cocaine residue.
Espinoza's child was taken from her and turned over to a relative.
Espinoza is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
