HOUSTON -

Our weather pattern hasn’t changed, so we can expect more thunderstorms today.

It’s been a quiet ride into work but the ride home can be messy with heavy rain and lots of lightning. Our high temperature today is 92 degrees.

Finally drier air begins to move into southeast Texas tomorrow. This dry air basically battles it out with the tropical moisture so it won’t be as easy to get rain for the end of the week.

If the dry air metaphorically looses the battle, we’ll still have afternoon thunderstorms but the chances will be much smaller. Temperatures will climb back to the mid 90s and a summer like feel will be back this weekend. With the heat index it will feel like 100 to 107 degrees.
