Mom needs help finding missing daughters
A mother is asking for help to find her three missing daughters.
Cassandra Palmerin, 15, Chelsea Palmerin, 15, and Vanessa Palmerin, 17, were last seen about 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
According to Imelda Diaz, her daughters, who attend Channelview High School, wanted to go to Gene Green Park, 6500 East Sam Houston Parkway North, to meet some boys. She told them no, but they left anyway.
"I told them no … it's late, school night," Diaz said.
Diaz said she locked her daughters' phones so they could only call relatives. She went to look for the girls at the park and saw them apparently waiting for someone. She said she gave them a few minutes to calm down, but they were gone by the time when she went to approach them.
Investigators said they consider the girls to be runaways, but Diaz is worried that something bad has happened.
The girls have not used their phones or posted on social media sites since their disappearance, according to Diaz.
Diaz said she found several text messages from one number on Vanessa's phone, and she called the number and spoke to a man.
"He denied knowing them," Diaz said. "(He) did admit (he) started talking to her online."
The girls left their purses, money, cellphone chargers and clothing at home, Diaz said.
Cassandra is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. She was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
Chelsea is 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 160 pounds. She was last seen wearing a navy blue hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
Vanessa is 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 180 pounds. She was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
