A Humble mother called the police and turned her own children in after finding items she knew did not belong to them.

"Once the police handcuffed them, I could no longer protect them," said the mother of Leamon Hamilton and Jesse Brown.

The mother said she found a backpack full of foreign money and valuable coins in the yard.

She said she knew the backpack belonged to a friend, so she called the police.

According to officers, inside the boys' room was a stolen TV, jewelry, expensive cameras and several guns.

"I couldn't believe it because they weren't raised like that," the mother said.

Hamilton and Brown and both facing theft charges.
