A woman has been accused of leaving her children with strangers at an airport.
Taiwo Jenkins, 37, has been charged with abandoning a child and child endangerment.
Houston police said Jenkins flew to George Bush Intercontinental Airport with her two children, ages 10 months and 2 years, on June 13.
The family was waiting for a connecting flight to Nigeria when Jenkins realized that her bags were not checked.
Detectives said she asked a couple of women at the gate to watch her children.
When one of the women had to get on her flight, she notified airline officials that the children's mother had been gone for more than an hour.
Jenkins was arrested at a security checkpoint when she tried to go back to the gate for her flight.
Jenkins was released from the Harris County Jail with bond set at $5,000.
