HOUSTON -

Harris County prosecutors have charged a massage therapist with sexually assaulting a female client.

According to court documents, a Houston woman visited Ken Scripa, 53, at the Scripa Wellness Center, 1708-A Washington Ave., on Aug. 6.

While she was getting a massage, the woman said Scripa "began rubbing her upper leg region and she was then suddenly surprised, offended and shocked" as he touched her inappropriately, according to court documents.

Investigators said the woman said she sat up and shouted, "Oh no you don't," and saw him masturbating.

The woman said she quickly put her clothes back on and ran out of the building.

Scripa made his first court appearance Monday. If convicted, he could face up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.

According to his website, Scripa has 15 years of experience as a licensed massage therapist.
