Man wearing wig robs SW Houston bank

HOUSTON -

The FBI is looking for a man who robbed a southwest Houston bank while wearing a wig.

FBI officials said the man held up the Prosperity Bank in the 4000 block of Bellaire Boulevard about 12:20 p.m. Monday.

Detectives said the man demanded money and pulled up his shirt to reveal a pistol in his waistband.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, stuffed it in his pockets and fled on foot.

The robber was described as white with a medium complexion, in his mid-30s, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 175 to 180 pounds with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black, long-haired woman's wig, jeans, and a blue jean-colored sweatshirt with a zipper at the top.
