HOUSTON -

A man outside a bar ended his night with four gunshot wounds in an alleged case of mistaken identity.

Investigators said the mix-up began with an argument inside a Houston nightclub on the 7300 block of Irvington Blvd.

Houston police said Fabian San Agustin, 25, was having some heated words with a few people in the club.

Investigators said he then left the club and spotted someone outside who he believed was a part of the group. But investigators said that person was an innocent bystander and had nothing to do with Agustin.

Officials said Agustin pulled a semi-automatic handgun and shot the 23-year-old victim four times, then fled the scene in a 1991 Mercedes.

Investigators said the victim survived the assault and has since recovered from his injuries.

Agustin is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and 150 to 169 pounds. He has short, black hair with a goatee and a tattoo on his right arm.

Agustin has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Anyone with information regarding Agustin's whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477). All tips will remain anonymous.
