Police need help identifying and finding a man suspected to be involved in two sexual assaults near Hobby Airport.
Houston police the first attack happened on New Year's Eve. A 22-year-old woman and a friend got off a METRO bus near the intersection of Glencrest and Airport. After the two began walking, a man driving a green Ford Mustang offered the women a ride, police said.
One of the women asked to be driven to a business near the corner of Airport and Monroe, and she was taken there. The other woman asked to be taken to a business near Airport and Hansen, but the driver took her to an abandoned building in the 8900 block Gulf Freeway.
Investigators said the driver used the car's child safety locks to prevent the woman from getting out. The man hit the woman in the face and choked her as he sexually assaulted her, police said.
The same man is suspected of attacking another woman on Feb. 8. Police said the man approached a 28-year-old woman in the 8900 block of Airport and asked her to go to a nearby motel with him.
The woman got in the man's car and the man drove past the motel, investigators said. The man pulled into the parking lot of an abandoned motel and next to a post office, officials said. The man hit the woman several times and choked her while he sexually assaulted her, police said.
Investigators said the woman fought back and was able to escape through a driver's-side door. She was partially clothed and someone at a nearby convenience store helped her, officials said.
The man was described as Hispanic with a dark brown complexion, 36 to 42 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and 170 to 180 pounds with medium-length hair and a mustache. Witnesses said he spoke with a Spanish accent.
At the time of the first attack, the man wore a brown plaid shirt and blue jeans. During the second attack, he wore a white T-shirt and light blue jeans.
The man is believed to be driving a green Ford Mustang with a partial license plate number of BL714. It has damage on the right rear panel near the driver's side taillight.
