Man survives gunshot to head

HPD: Robbery may have been motive for shooting

HOUSTON -

Houston Police said a 25 year old man was shot in the head in an apparent home invasion Friday night.

It happened at the Magnolia Cove Apartments on Goodson Street in north Houston.

Investigators said a man and his girlfriend were inside their apartment.

Police said the victim tried to lock the door but two robbers forced their way into the apartment.

Neighbors said the robbers wore masks and carried guns.

Police said the robbers are still on the run.

Police said the man was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center.
