A man was in the hospital Wednesday after a drive-by shooting in Southwest Harris County.
Deputies said the 47-year-old was walking along Highway 6 near Westpark around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday when a car approached, slowed down, and someone inside took out a gun and opened fire. Several shots were fired.
The victim was hit in the hand and chest, officials said. A medical helicopter rushed him to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
His identity was not released.
Deputies have not released a suspect or vehicle description.
A motive for the shooting is not yet known.
