HOUSTON - Detectives with the Harris County Sheriff's Office are looking for the person who shot and killed a man inside a seafood shack at the corner of Bellaire and Howell Sugar Land Road in Southwest Houston on Saturday.

Investigators told Local 2 several people were on the restaurant's property.  They were standing in front, heard a single shot, ran around back and found the cook dead inside the kitchen.  There are no witnesses or suspects.

Deputies took a few people in for questioning.

"I was here just thirty minutes before it happened," said Trae Rodriguez who  drives a truck delivering crawfish.  Rodriguez knew the man who was killed and said he didn't deserve to die.

"I was just here before it happened, " he said.  "I don't understand why anybody would want to do that to him.  He's not the type, he don't look like no troublemaker he's a real peaceful guy."
