Police are searching for a man who robbed a grocery store at gunpoint.

Sugar Land police said a man walked into Keemat Grocers, 2464 Settlers Way, shortly before 9 p.m. on Saturday.

The man pulled out a gun and demanded cash from the employees, investigators said.

The man is seen on surveillance video entering the store, police say.

According to authorities, the suspect demanded cash from the register and grabbed as much as he could carry before leaving the store and hopping into a getaway vehicle that was waiting in a nearby alley. 

No one inside the store was hurt, authorities said. From start to finish, the robbery only took 33 seconds. 

The robber was described as black, about 6 feet tall and 240 pounds with a stocky build. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt, blue jeans, black tennis shoes and a black ski mask.

The vehicle was a silver or gray Jeep Commander.
