A South Houston man has been convicted of intoxication assault following a drunk driving accident involving a nun.
A jury found Marcos Garza guilty on Wednesday.
In May of 2011, Garza caused an accident at the intersection of Main and Minnesota in South Houston, prosecutors argued.
Garza ran a stop sign in his truck, hitting a nun in a Honda Civic and trapping her inside.
The nun was critically injured.
Sentencing for Garza is underway.
