A man was found dead on a northwest Houston street. Now police want to find his killer.
Police told Local 2 they got a call at about 3 a.m. after two people found the man's body in the median on T.C. Jester near Holder Forest.
Those people told police it looked like the man had been shot in the chest.
Darice Carl attends church near where the man's body was found.
"Oh, I was shocked. Definitely shocked," Carl said.
The witnesses told police they heard nothing prior to finding the body.
One man who's lived in the neighborhood for years said this is a tight-knit community, and everyone keeps an eye out. He said he's not sure how something like this could have happened here.
Police have not yet released the victim's name.
Investigators said the details are very sparse. They're asking anyone who may have seen something or knows something about the crime to give Crime Stoppers a call at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
