A man was dragged by a BMW in northeast Houston Wednesday.

Police said around 5 a.m., a man was ducking for cover behind a vehicle after shots were fired at a nightclub on Brewster Street and Liberty Road.

Another person then got into the car without realizing the man was trapped on the front bumper, investigators said.

The car dragged the man about two blocks before the driver realized what was going on, according to authorities.

Police said the driver then bailed out of the car and ran.

The victim was taken to Ben Taub Hospital in serious condition with deep tissue injuries and road rash.
