Man dies in motorcycle crash

Motorcycle accident in northeast Houston
HOUSTON -

A man lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a barricade late Sunday, according to police.

Houston police said the 40-year-old man was trying to pass another car in the 5000 block of South Lake Houston Parkway about 9:15 p.m. to get to the entrance ramp to Highway 90 when he crashed.

Detectives said the man was wearing a helmet and other safety gear.

The man's name has not been released, but police said he was from Goodrich, Texas.
