A man has been accused of killing another man with a brick.
Andrew Gregory Ealy, 22, has been charged with murder.
Investigators said a group of homeless men and women used a storage facility under a bridge near Rusk Street and Bagby to congregate at night.
Overnight, a group of people were playing cards, according to police, when there was some type of argument.
"They were in there playing cards, drinking," said HPD detective Jeff Rexroad. "Two of the individuals got into a verbal altercation and a shoving match."
Police said Ealy left after that argument but returned at about 12:40 a.m., picked up a brick used it to hit a 32-year-old man in the head, killing him at the scene.
Ealy left the scene, but he was arrested in the 1300 block of Capitol about 10:50 a.m.
The victim's name was not released.
