A man is accused of stabbing a man who refused to withdraw money from an ATM.
Corey Lynn Johnson, 22, has been charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
Houston police said Johnson confronted 46-year-old Frederick Kennedy at a Wells Fargo Bank in the 2700 block of Smith near Dennis about 6:30 a.m. on Oct. 10.
Johnson was armed with a knife and told Kennedy to withdraw cash from the ATM, investigators said.
When Kennedy didn't withdraw the money, Johnson demanded his wallet, police said.
The two then got into a struggle and Johnson stabbed Kennedy several times, detectives said.
Johnson ran to a waiting car and fled, police said.
Kennedy was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where his non-life-threatening wounds were treated.
Johnson has been arrested and is being held in the Harris County Jail without bail.
