Man believes synthetic acid killed friend
Body found in car early Saturday
A 21-year-old college student was found dead near his car early Saturday and his best friend believes synthetic acid is what killed him.
"Violence, anger, rage. I mean, it is similar to the other stories you hear," the friend said.
The friend, who wished to remain unidentified, told Local 2 Investigates he and his friend had attended a rave at a downtown Houston venue called "Villains" at 2001 Commerce Street.
At the party, the friend said the 21 year old bought drugs, not realizing he was getting a synthetic form.
"There are synthetic forms of everything. What people don't realize is they're more dangerous than the drugs themselves," he said.
On the way home from the party, the friend said his buddy flew into a rage and ordered him out of the car.
Investigators confirmed when the man returned to the car, his friend was dead or dying. It appears he choked on his own vomit, although autopsy results are still pending.
The parents of the man who died asked that he be remembered as a musician, an excellent student, and a young man who attended church.
