A man has been accused of breaking into several homes and stealing jewelry, underwear and dogs.

Abel Martinez, 32, has been charged with three counts of burglary of a habitation.

Harris County sheriff's deputies said they believe Martinez is responsible for at least a half dozen home burglaries in 2011, and he's been charged in connection with three of them.

According to investigators, Martinez stole a wide variety of items from the homes, including jewelry, electronics, underwear, clothing, kitchen items and two dogs.

Some of the stolen items have been found, including the two dogs, investigators said.
