CLEVELAND, Texas -

One of 20 men accused of raping an 11-year-old girl in Liberty County was sentenced to prison on Monday.

Cedric Scott, 27, pled guilty to an aggravated sexual assault of a child charge and received 15 years in prison. His trial was scheduled to begin on Monday.

Scott was among 14 adults and 6 juveniles accused of raping the girl over a 3-month period at a vacant trailer house in Cleveland in 2010. Sixteen of the 20 have been convicted.

In court last November, the now 13-year-old girl testified in the trial of Jared Cruse, 20. She testified that she was a willing participant in multiple sexual acts with multiple partners on multiple occasions.

Eric McGowen was the first man to be tried in this case. He was convicted in August and sentenced to 99 years in prison. Cruse was convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child under the age of 14. He received the maximum punishment of life without parole.

Six other men accepted plea deals and were each sentenced to 15 years in prison.

There were also six juveniles allegedly involved in sex acts with the girl, who was in sixth grade at the time.
