Man accused of firing shots in park to be in court
A man accused of firing shots in Tranquility Park was set to be arraigned Wednesday morning.
On Nov. 21, police said Joshua Anthony Twohig fired several shots with a rifle in Tranquility Park in downtown.
Witnesses said he claimed he was the "white night," and that he talked about police corruption.
Police said he began shooting just feet from where Occupy Houston protesters set up their campsite.
A police spokesman told Local 2 that bike officers fired several shots, hitting Twohig.
Police said he was then rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators said they do not believe the shooting had anything to do with Occupy Houston.
Twohig is charged with aggravated assault against a public servant.
