Police are searching for a man who has been accused of exposing himself to a teenager.

Heriberto Garcia, 22, has been charged with indecency with a child.

Houston police said a teenager got off a school bus in the 5700 block of Old Spanish Trail on Oct. 6 and Garcia asked her if she wanted a ride.

The girl declined the ride and Garcia unzipped his pants and exposed himself, investigators said.

Detectives said the Garcia followed the girl for a while, making a couple of passes and turning around and coming back.

The girl was able to get Garcia's license plate number and a partial description of the car. Police said that wasn't enough information to identify a suspect.

Investigators said surveillance cameras at a scrap metal business captured images of the girl and the man who followed the girl. That video gave them enough information to develop Garcia as a suspect.

Garcia has not yet been arrested.

Garcia's criminal history includes charges of drug abuse and sexual assault.
