HOUSTON -

A woman will likely not face charges for stabbing her boyfriend in northwest Houston, according to police.

Officers were called to Helmers Street and East Crosstimbers Street where they found the man injured around 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

He was rushed to LBJ Hospital in stable condition.

Officers on the scene said they discovered the man was drunk, and started arguing and beating his girlfriend. They said she grabbed a knife and stabbed him in self-defense.
