A Kingwood man has been charged with assaulting paramedics who were responding to an emergency call.
According to court documents, Donald Roy Houle, 59, has been charged with aggravated assault of a public servant.
On July 7, paramedics responded to a call after Houle's wife called about him being intoxicated.
Paramedics then called Houston police after they said Houle pointed a weapon at them as they were walking toward the ambulance.
When police arrived on the scene, Houle was holding a rifle in his front yard, according to officers.
Houle was taken into custody without incident.
