RICHMOND, Texas -

A man who operates a community management company has been accused of transferring money from one homeowners association to another.

Taggert Mayfield, 22, was charged with misapplication of fiduciary property.

Mayfield operated Arrow Community Management.

Fort Bend County sheriff's deputies said records show Mayfield transferred $85,000 from one of Avalon at Seven Meadows' accounts to an account that belongs to another homeowners association. There were two transfers and both occurred in June, investigators said.

Detectives said Mayfield was placed on probation after pleading guilty in September to a similar charge in 2009. Officials said he misapplied more than $20,000 that belonged to the Park at Mission Bend Homeowners Association.

Mayfield was arrested Wednesday night.

If found guilty, Mayfield would face 2 to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
