Madonna sets Houston tour date

HOUSTON -

Two days after her critically-acclaimed Super Bowl half-time performance, Madonna announced her world tour dates and Houston is one of the stops.

Madonna will perform at the Toyota Center on Wednesday, Oct. 24.

The Material Girl's first North American show is scheduled for Aug. 28 in Philadelphia. She will also perform at New York's Yankee Stadium on Sept. 6.

Tickets go on sale for the Houston show on Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. at www.toyotacentertix.com, www.livenation.com and at most area Randalls stores. Tickets can also be purchased by phone at 866-4-HOUTIX.

In addition to some of her greatest hits, Madonna is expected to perform a lot of music for her new CD, MDNA, which is due out next month.
