Lone Star College shooting victim talks from hospital bed
A student who was shot at Lone Star College's North Campus has released a statement from his hospital bed.
Jody Neal, 25, was one of three people wounded in the shooting on Jan. 22.
"I would like to thank everybody for praying for me," Neal said. "I appreciate your kind thoughts. I'm going to work on getting well so I can get back to school and get my life back in order."
Harris County sheriff's deputies said Trey Foster, 22, shot Neal, a maintenance man and a friend, 22-year-old Carlton Berry. Berry was misidentified as the shooter and charged, but he has been cleared.
Detectives said the shooting happened after Neal bumped into Foster.
Foster has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He's being held in the Harris County Jail with bond set at $100,000.
