HOUSTON -

More showers and storms are expected Friday.

A weak frontal boundary along with deep Gulf moisture and daytime heating will likely fire up thunderstorms for us in the afternoon. Rain chances increase throughout the day to 50 percent by this afternoon. Today's afternoon highs will reach the upper 80s.

Friday night football games could be wet. It's a good idea to bring an umbrella and a rain jacket to the game, just in case.

We are not done with the rain chances as we head into your weekend also.

The frontal boundary will likely stall out in the Gulf. This instability will give us the chance for more showers and storms Saturday and Sunday.

Rain chances this weekend will be around 50 percent.
