Katy student injured in Boston Marathon bombing
A Katy student is recovering after he found himself in the middle of the Boston Marathon attacks.
Officials with Cimarron Elementary School in Katy said the student was watching the race at the time of the explosions. Officials said none of his injuries were life-threatening and he's expected to make a full recovery.
School officials said to make sure you know what your children are hearing about the attacks during the marathon.
"Please listen attentively and encourage your child to express his or her feelings if need be," said Sanee Bell, principal of Cimarron elementary.
Officials with the school said the campus counselor is available to any students at Cimarron who may have a hard time dealing with the tragedy.
