HOUSTON -

A middle school student said he kicked a stranger in the face after he told him to come with him, investigators said.

Katy Independent School District police said a MeMeans Junior High School student and a friend were waiting at a bus stop on Longspring Drive near Autumn Fern Drive when the man approached him about 6:45 a.m. Friday.

The man told the student to come with him, police said.

Investigators said the student kicked the man in the face when he bent down. The man then ran away, officials said.

The man was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, a black hat and black gloves, officials said. A physical description of the man, including race and height, have not been released.
