KSBJ gets new morning co-host
Contemporary Christian radio station, KSBJ, has a new morning co-host. He's no stranger to listeners of KSBJ -- he's been the host of Focus on the Family’s "Family Minute" feature and a regular voice on the “Weekend Magazine" program. Bill Maier is a clinical psychologist and veteran radio personality.
According to KSBJ's website, prior to becoming a psychologist and working for Focus, Bill was a general market music radio personality for 15 years including stints at KPLZ in Seattle, KSDO-FM in San Diego, and KFI and KBIG-FM in Los Angeles. He has also hosted the syndicated "National Music Survey" program and has worked as a voice-over actor in Hollywood.
KSBJ also says listeners will enjoy tuning in to hear Bill’s unique combination of professional expertise coupled with his off-beat sense of humor. He's passionate about being a loving husband to his wife, Lisa, and a good father to his three young children. Although he may spontaneously launch into crazy character voices at a moment’s notice, Bill is known for his warmth, relational-nature and fervor for coming alongside today’s parents, helping them navigate the challenges of raising kids in the 21st century.
"The first time we met, we talked and laughed so much we closed the restaurant," said Susan O’Donnell, KSBJ Program Director and Morning Show co-host. "I am so excited to be Bill's co-host. He's a husband, father, actor, singer and he can psychoanalyze me too! This is going to be so much fun!"
KSBJ veteran Susan O'Donnell is also coming back to the morning show team. Bill and Susan signed on the Morning Show on Monday.
KSBJ’s Morning Show airs weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. This year, KSBJ celebrates 30 years on-air as Houston’s leading listener-supported contemporary Christian music radio station.
