HOUSTON -

Independence Day is still looking to be largely problem-free in terms of weather.

Like Tuesday afternoon, a few isolated showers should pepper the landscape along the afternoon sea breeze, but most locations will be dry from start to finish.

By the time fireworks fill the night sky, we'll all be rain-free. With a myriad of celebrations across southeast Texas to celebrate the holiday, that's good news for those who are planning a day of outdoor fun on Wednesday.

While the rain should stay away for the vast majority of southeast Texas residents, temperatures and humidity will be uncomfortable, with highs reaching into the low to mid 90s by mid-afternoon. Be sure to have all the standard summer fare while you're outside: water, sunscreen, bug spray, lightweight and breathable clothes. Beyond that, go out and have a great holiday!
