The Jefferson County Courthouse, where police say a gunman shot four people and killed one, reopened on Friday.
Bartholomew Granger is charged with murder. Bail was set at $4 million.
Beaumont police said Granger, 41, fired shots from a pickup truck as he drove by the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1149 Pearl Street, about 11:20 a.m. Wednesday.
Minnie Ray Sebolt, 79, of Deweyville, Texas, an innocent bystander, was killed.
Granger was on trial for a charge of sexually assaulting a family member.
"The shooter shot and ran over his daughter," said Carol Riley with the Beaumont Police Department.
The 20-year-old daughter was hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
Three other people, including the shooter's ex-wife, were wounded in the shooting, according to officials.
Workers spent the Thursday cleaning up blood stains where some of the victims were wounded.
