Investigators seek arsonist who started fire at Montgomery County church
Officials: Suspect tried to set fire to Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
Police and fire investigators say they are looking for an arsonist who tried to set fire to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Woodlands.
Firefighters arrived at the church on Glen Loch Drive around noon on Feb. 22. Officials said they found the backdoor open and the remains of a small fire in the chapel.
Investigators determined the fire was intentionally set and had burned itself out before spreading.
The Montgomery County Fire Marshall's Office and Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said they are conducting a joint criminal investigation.
