Investigators: Woman commits fraud while out on bail
A woman has been accused of committing a crime while she was free on bail.
Montgomery County Precinct 4 deputy constables said Kristen Lanette Kimmel, 30, tried to return stolen merchandise to a Walmart store, using someone else's identification.
At some point, Kimmel and at least one other person went to the deputy constable's office in New Caney and took photos of Kimmel in front of patrol cars and a glass wall, investigators said. She posted those photographs on a website that was created to expose undercover officers and snitches, detectives said. Kimmel also posted the names of two officers on the site, officials said.
On Thanksgiving Day, a deputy constable found Kimmel and her friend, 25-year-old Lindsey Renee Lindquist. He ran their names, found that both had outstanding warrants and arrested them, officials said.
Kimmel is being held without bond in the Montgomery County Jail on charges of felony bond forfeiture and fraudulent use/possession of identifying information.
Lindquist was wanted on a felony theft charge. She was released from jail on $5,000 bond.
