Investigators: Man set house on fire knowing people were inside
Investigators: Tadrick Bernard Goodman was upset ex-girlfriend would not return calls
A man has been accused of starting a house fire in southeast Houston, knowing his former girlfriend and another man were inside.
Tadrick Bernard Goodman, 34, has been charged in connection with a house fire that occured in the 8600 block of Candy on Sunday.
According to investigators, Goodman admitted to them that he set fire to the back of the residence knowing that people were inside.
Investigators said Goodman was upset because he still had feelings for his former girlfriend and she kept ignoring his repeated telephone calls that evening.
Goodman is charged with arson, a second-degree felony. He has a history of previous felonies and is currently on parole.
