The Internal Revenue Service has unveiled a new smartphone app that will allow taxpayers to check on the status of their tax refunds and get tax help.

IRS Commissioner Dough Shulman said, "This app reflects our commitment to modernizing the agency and engaging taxpayers where they want when they want."

The the free downloadable app will allow taxpayers to track when they will get their refunds, order copies of their tax returns, and get tips on everything from avoiding audits to finding deductions.

Apple users can download the IRS2Go app at the Apple Store. 

Antroid users can get it from the Android Marketplace.
