HOUSTON -

Dozens of Houstonians lined up late Wednesday night at Fannin Flowers Inc. located on Fannin Road in Houston.

The flower shop says it is one of few that are open 24 hours a day. Fannin Flowers said it saw a lot of business the day before Valentine's Day with sweethearts purchasing some last-minute gifts, like bouquets of flowers.

"I am buying flowers for my beautiful girlfriend, Alma," said one customer.

"I am buying for family, my mother, and my sweetheart," said another customer.

Employees at Fannin Flowers said they expect to sell over 30,000 stems of roses for Valentine's Day.
