The cold front arrived and Houstonians embraced it.
First thing Sunday morning, Memorial Park was packed. It was a cloudy and chilly, perfect fall day.
"Just this past week it's been heating up again. Coming out today it was an amazing run," said Mitchell Blowely.
The runners at the park couldn't be happier. Some were bundled up, but others were not. Everyone agreed that October is finally time to cool down.
"I'm going to enjoy this while I can," laughed Kay Harnden.
Knowing that the cooler weather isn't here to stay, Saturday's high was 86 degrees.
"I improved my run. I ran my 12 miles about 10 minutes faster," said Bruce Levy.
