After record-setting warmth over the weekend, temperatures dropped nearly 30 degrees in just 24 hours.
Joggers had to drastically change their attire before heading out doors for their run.
"It's really cold. It's kind of miserable. We didn't expect it to be this cold," said Jennifer Colvin, who was out for jog at Memorial Park. "I had to bring a jacket, pants, gloves, a bandana around my ears. Yeah, I had to bring out pretty much all the resources."
With a freeze warning in effect overnight Monday, it's recommended you stay indoors. For those who have to be in the cold, experts said it's important to keep your core warm and keep your skin from being exposed.
Experts said people shouldn't expect temperatures to get cold enough to effect the pipes in homes.
