HOUSTON -

A fourth Houstonian diagnosed with West Nile virus has died.

On Thursday, the city of Houston reported that a northwest Houston man between the ages of 75 and 84 had passed away.

Six new human cases of West Nile virus were also reported in Houston. The most recent cases involve:

  • a northwest Houston woman between the ages of 34 and 44
  • a southeast Houston woman between the ages of 45 and 54
  • a southeast Houston woman between the ages of 25 and 34
  • a northwest Houston woman between the ages of 55 and 74
  • a southwest Houston man between the ages of 45 and 54
  • a southeast Houston man between the ages of 25 and 34
