A Houston woman spent up to a week stranded in her car after getting stuck in a muddy pond in Idaho.

Lynn Keesler said she took a wrong turn while looking for a hotel in Burley on January 15.

Keesler, 61, told deputies she saw water and tried to drive around it, but she got stuck in the mud instead.

The woman said she stayed in the car because she had been told not to leave her vehicle if she ever became stranded.

Keesler said she survived by eating peanut M&M's and drinking water.

She finally walked to a nearby house for help on January 22.

Keesler was evaluated by medical personnel but refused to go to the hospital.

She said she just wanted a warm bed and a bath.
